AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/CEO

We regret to announce the postponement of the 2020 season of HORIZON by Maxine Mellor.

The health, safety and wellbeing of patrons, staff and the community are our top priority and social responsibility, and in accordance with updated advice on the COVID-19 pandemic and the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) recommendation to limit non-essential indoor gatherings to under 100 people, Playlab Theatre has made the difficult decision to postpone its season of Horizon by Maxine Mellor at the Brisbane Powerhouse until 2021.

This is a challenging period for Playlab Theatre and the arts sector in general and we appreciate your understanding and support through these uncertain times. Playlab Theatre is committed to this production and although the current season is cancelled, we will deliver this production to you in 2021. Playlab Theatre will announce the dates for the 2021 season later in the year. We hope you can join us at that time.

In accordance with the Live Performance Australia’s Ticketing Code of Practice, all ticket holders will be provided with refunds to cancelled events. We are doing our very best to lessen the financial impact of this decision on the dedicated team behind this production and if you would like to help, we are inviting patrons to show their support by donating the value of their ticket back to Playlab Theatre as a tax-deductible contribution.

The Box Office team at Brisbane Powerhouse will be working as quickly as possible to contact all patrons and discuss the options.

Thank you

Ian Lawson

Artistic Director/CEO
