Alinta McGrady

A Githabul, Migunberri-Yugumbeh woman residing and working between Tulmur and Magandjin, Alinta [BADASSMUTHA] is a seasoned multidisciplinary artist who has performed nationality and internationally with the likes of Hot Brown Honey, Polytoxic and artists such as Xavier Rudd and Blue King Brown. She’s performed on stages at Woodford Folk Festival, Yonder, Quandamooka Festival, Melbourne Comedy Festival and headlined the Circus and T heatre stage at Glastonbury Festival with collective Hot Brown Honey along with creating music and theatre for Children under ‘Alinta and Waveney’ and as solo artist BADASSMUTHA. A wordsmith who weaves stories through lyrical wit-poetry and catchy melody, she was selected to participate in One-Off Tracks writing camp in Gadigal country and the Mushroom group First Nations music program in Naarm 2024. She is now set to make her debut as playwright with her work, Eat Slay Zombie premiering at QPAC.
