Katy Warner is a playwright and actor based in Melbourne. She studied playwriting at the Victorian College of the Arts, receiving a Master of Writing for Performance in 2012. Her work has been presented at La Mama Theatre, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Melbourne Writers’ Festival, MKA: Theatre of New Writing, Theatre Works, Writers Victoria and Barking Gecko Theatre Company. Katy’s plays include Dropped (Highly Commended — Best Emerging Playwright, Melbourne Fringe Festival 2013), These are the isolate (Winner — Best Emerging Playwright and Theatre Works Award, Melbourne Fringe 2010), Nest (currently in development). Katy is a recipient of the Australia Council of the Arts’ Art Start Grant to further develop her career as a playwright.
