Lorna Bol came to playwriting from a background in theatre, having worked as an actress, director and producer. Bol began writing for theatre in 1977. Her first play, Treadmill, premiered at La Boite Theatre, as did But I’m Still Here. Both plays have been published. Bol’s other works have been performed throughout Australia; the most recent production I Don’t Want to Die in Melbourne premiered at Metro Arts, Brisbane in 2006.
