Mark Rogers is a writer, director, and theatre-maker. His work includes; as a writer: The Buck (TRS), Blood Pressure (TRS, Bodysnatchers) and Soothsayers (Brisbane Festival: UTR, Bodysnatchers), as a director: Gobbledygook (Sydney Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Bodysnatchers). He is a founding member of Applespiel and has been involved in all projects 2009-2014 including: … Makes A Band (Performance Space, Carriageworks), By The Sea: Freedom (Festival of Dangerous Ideas) and Sexy New Urban Design Team (Sydney Festival, Festival of Unpopular Culture, You Are Here, Tiny Stadiums Festival, Verge Festival). In 2013 he ran Woodcourt Art Theatre in his Marrickville lounge room, producing 5 new theatre works for small audiences, all of which toured to the Adelaide Fringe to critical acclaim. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Wollongong, focusing on collaborative practice in new Australian writing.
