Shaun Charles

Shaun Charles is a playwright and director. His plays include Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris, Three Points of Contact, and the stage adaptations of Andrew McGahan’s Last Drinks and The White Earth (co-adapted and co-directed with Andrew McGahan).
Other works include writing the text for Paradise, the musical, the libretto for the opera, Dirty Apple, and text for the cabaret, Lead Sister.
As a director he has directed numerous premiere productions of new work including Linda Hassall’s Post Office Rose, Elaine Acworth’s Water Wars and Andrew McGahan’s Bait. He has contributed articles to The Courier Mail, The Australian and Overland.
