PD WORKSHOP: THEATRE OF THE ABSURD
New Babylon is a macabre comedy exploring themes of decadence, waste and the logical end points of compulsive consumption under late capitalism.

The Theatre of the Absurd workshop focuses on New Babylon by multi-award-winning playwright, Stephen Carleton and its connection to Unit 3: Theatre of the Absurd (Challenge). Stephen Carleton, Playlab Theatre’s Playwright in Residence, will present the workshop and unpack the conventions of Theatre of the Absurd by delving into his own absurdist work dealing with the climate change crisis. Participants will get a copy of the supplied text.
