Description

The Norman Mailer Anecdote by Anthony Mullins follows a powerful man accused of an historical sexual assault where alcohol was involved, exploring the subjectivity of our own personal narratives and what happens when the facts, as they see them are contested. Could the powerful men accused of these crimes truly remember the events in question? Do we all practice a touch of selective amnesia when it comes to polishing our personal narratives?

SYNOPSIS

Helen is on a roll. Tonight, she is poised to finally make equity partner at her law firm and, according to her over-achieving college age daughter, she can still rock a mini dress at 50. But then her husband Marshall, a career novelist, arrives home and drops a bombshell – he has been accused of an historical sexual assault. Over one night of heavy drinking they will attempt to make sense of an uncertain past and even less certain future.
