Synopsis: Since founding Markwell Presents in 2002 Brad Jennings and Steven Maxwell have written and produced 14 new plays for young people featuring Cinematic Theatre: the integration of live performance and the magic of the big screen. Brad and Steven coined the term Cinematic Theatre to describe the fusion of dramatic performance and screen technology style they create; the use of visual media during stage scenes and scene transitions that allows the stage space to always be alive with action to become a continuous narrative experience. They have devised a comprehensive creative development to production process of integrating stage video and performance which they teach to arts educators and students so they can put into practise the conventions and elements that they utilise.
