Sam I Am delves into the encounters, recollections and uncertainties that a young man from the inner Western suburbs of Sydney must confront and come to terms with as he accepts and defines his identity. It includes his journey with hearing aids and speech pathology, his endeavor to learn Auslan, and his courageous decision to come out following the 2017 marriage equality plebiscite.
