The Monologue Collective is back! This edition features a team of teen writers hailing from Western Sydney and writing for a nationwide audience. Ten fresh monologues written by teenagers, for teenagers to perform in the HSC Drama Performance! Championing authenticity and uplifting teen voices, by placing teenagers at the forefront of telling their own stories, this collection of monologues dives into the topics teens are actually passionate about!

SYNOPSIS

From stories that explore cultural identity, finding your voice in a neurotypical world, or dealing with, quite literally, the end of the world as we know it, The Monologue Collective: Western Sydney Edition serves as a time capsule of teen life in Australia in 2026.

The writers in this edition are aged between 16 and 18 years old and live in the Western Sydney region. These young writers were picked for a very specific reason; they had something incredibly clear and important to say.

PRODUCTION HISTORY

The Monologue Collective: Western Sydney Edition was first performed at PHIVE Parramatta, presented by Riverside Live, on September 9th, 2026. This is the second edition of The Monologue Collective, created by Laneikka Denne.
